About Me
Most people find it difficult to talk about themselves, so much so, often times the page within a website entitled “About Me” gets overlooked entirely — leaving your visitors wondering just who they are dealing with. The truth is one of the highest ranked (visited) pages on many websites* is… you guessed it… the ABOUT ME page. It’s for this reason you need to pay close attention to what it says about you and your business.
Hello, I’m Dawn RaSchell, copywriter extraordinaire!
I was born to do what I do, and I love it! I’ve learned the skill of writing both in and outside the box. It took quite a bit of time and effort the payoff is yours. What do you want? Whatever it is, I will effectively communicate to those people YOU want to reach. I bring these skills to you through, dare I say, my 20 years of experience.
At only 16, I found myself lost in the traditional school setting; I never fit in academically or socially. My mom asked me just before my 16th birthday what I wanted. She was sure I was going to ask for a car. But I told her I never want to go to public school again. To my surprise my Mom understood. She witnessed the failures the system had shown me and the constant ostracizing I experienced for expressing myself in the various stages I went through during adolescence. She granted my wish on two conditions: 1. I complete high school through correspondence and 2. “get a damn job!” which was exactly what I did. (Thanks Mom you helped shape this part of my life… the most important one, entrepreneurialism.)
For a 16 year old the choices for employment in Las Vegas where I grew up were very slim. Most good paying jobs were in the casinos and you had to be at least 18 to work there. I had a choice; food service or sales over the phone, better known as telemarketing.
I know what you’re thinking and yes I was one of “those”.
With my mom’s encouragement, I threw myself into learning all I could about how to become a big producer, top dog, and heavy hitter. I became a pro. My raw talent was recognized, cultivated and honed into a juggernaut sales machine. It wasn’t long before my paychecks were double my Mom’s salary as President of Marketing for a mid sized food chain. She was my biggest fan and knew she had made the right choice. Years later when my Mom shared with me that she had been raising me to be in sales all along I wasn’t surprised. By 17 I was the youngest sales manager the company had ever seen and from there I was sought after by some of the most prolific sales companies around.
I’ve been asked time and again if it’s scary to work freelance, or back then for commission only, and to be honest I have to ask them how scary it is that they depend on someone else for their money, benefits and future.
In my line of work there is no glass ceiling, only the stars that I reach for everyday.
As it turns out, becoming an entrepreneur was my destiny. And I must say that my knowledge and experience in sales has been integral to my success. In my journeys through various types of jobs and businesses through the years, there was one thing that always remained constant — writing — whether it be personal or work related.
When you think about the career of writing, you really can’t take “sales” out of the equation. After all, writing is communication and in all communication there’s a pending sale in one form or another. Whether you want to make a point to someone else, sell something, or win friends and influence people, writing is a sales strategy.
In all honesty, I rather stumbled upon my career. Or more to the point, I fell into it. And now, 7 or so years later, I find that I’ve never loved a job more than this.
I’m passionate about writing and offer a unique blend of style and craftsmanship that works to entice readers to follow the steps that they are intended to take. Let me help you with your efforts.

On a more personal note I am a single Mom of two amazing girls and in case you’re wondering, yes I’m raising them to be entrepreneurs too!
